The following review article will introduce the Journal's book section to our readers. In this section we will be concentrating on publications of clinical interest, but as with this first review by our Book Editor, Dr. Richard Weiss, our reviewers will have broad latitude to engage any issue of interest to them. We will also, in future issues, be experimenting with various review formats designed to foster a critical dialogue between reviewer and author, and to engage you, the reader, in the colloquy.
