The period reviewed started with an hour in which the patient reported having had a date with an Italian girl he met at a party. She is an airline hostess and only spends short periods of time in New York. He had met her the previous week at a time when he felt extremely lonesome and unwanted. He described her as exceptionally cute and attractive physically and warm and friendly in her behavior. The first hour of this period started with his reporting having spent a very pleasant evening with her. They had dinner in the Village and returned to his apartment for coffee. They kissed a few times and he took her home. He made special emphasis of the fact that he didn't make a pass at her. He added that there was an aftermath—a wet dream.
