The Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR) is a component society of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA). Along with a full psychoanalytic training program, IPTAR offers a child and adolescent psychotherapy training program and an introductory/respecialization program in psychoanalysis. The IPTAR Clinical Center provides affordable psychoanalytic psychotherapy to children and adults. IPTAR's clinic has become a rich source of data for ongoing psychoanalytic research conducted by IPTAR members. IPTAR offers lectures, seminars, and programs throughout the year that are open to the general psychoanalytic community.
