A case is discussed in which the patient was able to seduce several analysts into various boundary violations in the service of her needs to humiliate and diminish the analysts. The perverse transference took different forms with each of her therapists but was always in the form of acting rather than putting into words the forbidden erotic wishes she could not bring herself to express without humiliating herself or alienating the other. The view that perversion represents a need for tender connection expressed by aggressive action is considered. The advantages of seeing the patient's need for touch as both erotic and aggressive are discussed.
