The Editor has received a copy of this bibliographical index which now comprises “5,400 books with more than 34,000 references to reviews—based on the selections made by the editors, book review editors, and reviewers representing 250 pertinent journals”. This volume includes a theoretical paper on “The Emerging Field of Sociobibliography”. Its interest, however, is not confined to specialists in bibliography but it might be considered as a basic piece of equipment in libraries specialising in the field of mental health; an intelligent and use-able aid to those of us who struggle to keep up with a selection of the current literature.
