This issue marks the end of my term as editor of the Journal. The editorship will be taken on jointly by Marianne Parsons and Anne Home.
I have greatly enjoyed my editorship and will miss the Journal very much; starting as a board member and then as editor, the Journal has been part of my life for a good many years.
Sad though I am to be leaving, I have every confidence in the new editors, and look forward to seeing the Journal enter a new dynamic phase under their skilled leadership.
This issue is a generic one, with four excellent accounts of individual treatments and two fine papers on applied work, one on an under-fives counselling case and another on a complex piece of adolescent group work. In addition we have some distinguished review essays on important recent books that are virtually articles in themselves. Yet again I am impressed by the quantity of high quality work and writing that our small profession continues to produce.
The Winter 1993 issue will be our third on a pre-determined theme Eating Disorders and Related Problems - the deadline for submissions is June 30th 1993. This theme has been chosen both because there is so much current concern about this area of difficulty, and because a great deal of exciting research and treatment is being done.
Please submit papers as usual to the Journal address. I shall look forward to reading them- without having had to do any of the work this time!
I would like finally to offer my best wishes to all our contributors, readers and to the incoming editors.
