A conference on boredom and creativity was sponsored by the Child and Adolescent Section of the Division of Psychoanalysis of the American Psychological Association and offered in New York City in October 2004. Three clinical papers each portrayed a child treatment that had become deadened and boring, and a discussant responded to the three and offered some unifying ideas and questions. This panel presents the four papers presented at that conference.
