On May 15, 2011, a panel presentation titled All Wired Up: Tweens, Teens, Technology & Treatment was held in East Lansing, Michigan, co-sponsored by The Sophie L. Lovinger Memorial Fund and The Michigan Psychoanalytic Council. This meeting followed the conference in New York City on October 2, 2010, Where the Wired Things Are (Bellinson, 2011), where a discussion of psychodynamic treatment, technology, and children occurred. Despite the inherent warnings against technology and negative consequences that have been presented elsewhere, this panel focused on the discussion on the positive elements of tween and teen use of technology. Following this introduction, Grayson (this issue) provided two clinical cases where technology facilitated the treatment. Dauphin (this issue) addressed the adult therapists' resistances and fears related to technology, and, finally, Singer (this issue) discussed the papers by Grayson and Dauphin.
