This book consists of four essays on paedophilia. Each is a contribution by an analytical psychologist, all active members of the Society of Analytical Psychology and all members of a group called the Freud-Jung group, which has met regularly for many years to discuss clinical problems. Although each contribution bears the stamp of its individual author and was, I understand, written independently of the others, there is naturally a good deal of homogeneity in their approach to their topic. Each essay consists largely of case material, mostly beautifully presented, and each author brings out both the archetypal forces at work and the importance of the personal developmental history of the paedophilic individual.
