We regret to announce the death of Dr Fritz Strauss in London on July 21, 1977. We hope to include an obituary notice in a forthcoming issue of The Journal.
Because of an oversight the credit owing to Dr R. Hoffman for her help in preparing the translation from the German of the article by Dr H-J. Wilke, ‘The authority complex and the authoritarian personality’ was omitted.
Serials librarians in particular, and subscribers in general, are asked to note that the publication of the annual index for The Journal in loose-leaf form is to be discontinued. Beginning with the present issue the index will appear bound in with October issues.
The publishers would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Miss Sarah L. Kleckner of Bergenfield, New Jersey, for the work she has done as American agent for The Journal over the past three years, and to wish her well in her new appointment with the C. G. With the change-over to quarterly publication many subscribers will now receive annual subscription renewal reminder notices before the October issue of The Journal has reached them and their current subscription is completed. This arrangement, which will now become standard, is necessary in order to facilitate the work of our overseas agents. As delay in the return of renewal forms can mean delay in the despatch of the following January issue, co-operation on the part of regular subscribers in giving early attention to subscription renewal would be appreciated.
