This edition of ‘Sensation’ is devoted to a reprint of addresses given at the Conference of Anglican Chaplains in Higher Education.
Kraemer, in a short paper, discusses his use of Christian teaching, Gospel stories and Christian ethics in his work as an analytical psychologist. In seeking a common language with some of his patients, whatever their religion, Christian or not, he finds sometimes that the analytical relationship he is starting to form can be stimulated by reference to religious themes. The patient is thus given the opportunity to relate to the analyst and his own problems through a theological or philosophical discussion.
