In the April 1982 issue of this Journal (Vol. 27, No. 2), the authorship of the article, ‘Isiko lentambo: a renewal sacrifice’, was attributed to M. V. Buhrmann and J. Nqaba Gqomfa. Dr Buhrmann has asked us to point out that she was the sole author of this particular article, the last in her series of ‘The Xhosa healers of Southern Africa’.
