Is analytical psychology a religion?: Jung's search for a substitute for lost faith

is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He is also Honorary Consulting Psychiatrist to the Oxfordshire Health Authority and Emeritus Fellow of Green College, Oxford. He retired from psychiatry in 1984 and is a full-time freelance writer. Amongst his many books on depth psychology and Jung, his most recent is Feet of Clay: A Study of Gurus (HarperCollins, 1996).
