This is a very interesting and at times powerful paper about the relationship between our selves and our bodily encoded experience derived through what the author calls ‘psycho-genetic heritage’. He wants to answer a question which I think is a very important and complex one. That is to say, how do we live our histories and begin to make sense of them psychically when we have no material evidence of them. What happens internally when we live within an archetypal experience and yet have no language or symbols with which to make sense of them.
