For those as yet unfamiliar with Ernst Falzeder, he is, amongst other roles, a senior research fellow with University College London, and the chief translator with the Philemon Foundation. As this latter role suggests, he is second only to Sonu Shamdasani in the depth of his scholarly research into Jung, and with regard to the broader field of the founding figures of depth psychology he is peerless. Thus this volume - appropriately subtitled Mapping the Psychoanalytic Movement - brings together his papers from the last two decades devoted not just to Freud and Jung but extending out to, principally, Ferenczi, Abraham and Bleuler and of course their complex and often conflicted interactions - psychoanalytic Filiations indeed!
