During this past year, the Journal has undergone a transition in editorship and I'd like to acknowledge all those involved.
First, we said farewell to Marcus West who recently stepped down from his post as the UK Editor. As an editorial team, we greatly benefitted from his gentle but firm navigation during an extraordinary time in the Journal's history. Despite the challenges, Marcus continued to expand the aperture to include global issues framed within an analytic lens. He quietly welcomed and encouraged unpublished authors to courageously address the clinical complexities that are so pervasive in this new ethos, making his thoughtfulness towards an array of editorial issues, alongside his clinical contributions, most enduring. We wish him well.
We now welcome the Journal's new Co-Editors, Ann Addison (UK) and Arthur Niesser (Europe). With enthusiasm they have quickly brought their individual gifts, knowledge and analytic proficiencies to the Journal. Ann Addison is a longstanding member of the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP), an author of papers and the book Jung's Psychoid Concept Contextualised. She also holds an academic position at the University of Essex's Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies. Arthur Niesser comes to us with an invaluable training in medicine, neuroscience and developmental theory. As the former Chair of the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA), Arthur brings his expertise from several analytic leadership and editorial responsibilities that included creating opportunities for friendly theoretical exchanges between Jungian communities. You can learn more about Ann and Arthur on our website .
As we know, any liminal space created by transitions can be confusing, tenuous, unpredictable and time consuming, which is why I must express my gratitude to the Consultant Editors, Susanna Wright, William Meredith-Owen, Tom Kelly, and Warren Colman, all of whom contributed not just their precious time and expertise but
