Then, Now: Editor's Introduction

Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and the President of the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. She is the editor of this journal, and founder and former President of the Society of Modern Psychoanalysts. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalsis as Membership Director and was a founder of NAAP. She is author of the monograph, Emotional Education: The Theory and Process of Training Psychoanalysts, co-author of the book, Treatment of the Narcissistic Neuroses. Among her many published papers are “Psychoanalysis: an open system of research,” “The myth of the impersonal analyst,” “Object relations in a drive theory model,” and “Negative union.” She is in private practive in New York City and Brookline, MA.
