Response to Hurvich's Discussion of Spotnitz's “The Clinical Practice of Modern Psychoanalysis”

Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees and the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and the President of the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. She is Editor of this journal, and founder and former President of The Society of Modern Psychoanalysts. She is currently working on a book, tentatively titled The New Psychoanalysis. She has published numerous articles on drive theory and psychoanalytic research, and is author of the monograph, Emotional Education: The Theory and Process of Training Psychoanalysts and co-author of the book, Treatment of the Narcissistic Neuroses. A monograph of selected papers, Phyllis W. Meadow: Selected Theoretical and Clinical Papers, was recently published by this journal.
