Training and supervising analyst and a faculty member at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. She has written on psychoanalytic research, the anaclitic countertrans-ference, and the relationship between psychoanalysis and biology. Using biological and psychosocial data, Dr. Shepherd recently conducted empirical research that tested Hyman Spotnitz's hypothesis on the etiology of schizophrenia. She is in private practice in Cambridge and Brookline, Massachusetts.
