Starting Treatment

Training and supervising analyst at both CMPS and BGSP, and maintains a private practice in New York and Boston. He was honored in 2010 by BGSP for outstanding service, and has been awarded the status of professor emeritus there. He is president of the Society of Modern Psychoanalysts (SMP). He has coordinated conferences in the United States and abroad that established dialogue between psychoanalysts and other professionals concerning mental health issues and approaches to treatment. He has been active in accreditation in the field, chairing committees in the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP) and in SMP and has done extensive work in curriculum studies and standards in psychoanalytic training. He has published articles in Modern Psychoanalysis and other journals; his particular interest at this time is on boundary issues in treatment and training.
