Based on non-linear dynamical fractal theory, the author proposes that humans benefit from interactions with natural (fractal) phenomena. In the process, he shows that the interaction between two fractally similar humans produces synchrony, a dynamic process that characterizes useful therapeutic relationships. Because synchrony, as defined in this article, crosses many scientific and artistic domains, it is seen as a unifying concept that supports, along with a broader spectrum of concepts, the importance of several modern psychoanalytic techniques and reinforces the significance of emotional communication.
