Dr Jones was in the Chair and 25 members were present (Dr Glover, Mrs Klein, Dr Rickman, Mrs Riviere, Mrs Isaacs, Dr M. Schmideberg, Dr Wilson, Dr Friedlander, Dr W. Hoffer, Dr Weiss, Dr Herford, Miss Freud, Mrs Burlingham, Miss Low, Mrs H. Hoffer, Dr Lantos, Mrs Ruben, Dr Franklin, Mr W. Schmideberg, Dr Winnicott, Miss Sharpe, Dr Gillespie, Dr Thorner, Dr Heimann).
One guest was present (Dr R. A. Macdonald).
Dr Jones opened the meeting and said that reading the minutes of the last Extraordinary Meeting in full would take too long. The obvious way is to take them in groups and I think that my classification is a fair one. One Member had asked not to exclude the affairs of the Institute from the discussion.1 There is of course no intention to exclude anything, but there is no resolution bringing them in. To leave the rules unaltered means to leave the affairs in the hands of the Emergency Committee. The question will come up again at the next annual meeting. Shall we throw that open to discussion?
Dr Glover mentions that two statements to this point had been sent in, one by Miss Grant Duff and another by Drs Carroll and Steng
