A meeting of Members and Associate Members will be held on Wednesday, March 17th, 1943, at 8 p.m., at 96 Gloucester Place, London, W.1. This is the third of the Series of Scientific Discussions on controversial topics existing within the Society.
A copy of the contributions to the discussion held on February 17th, 1943, is enclosed herewith.
At the last meeting held on February 17th questions of technical procedure were discussed. It was felt that limitation of contributions to the discussion in regard of both time and length was a drawback. It was therefore decided that:
the discussion at the next meeting should take the form of prepared questions and if necessary exposition of the considerations leading up to them.
all members wishing to contribute should notify the Programme Committee (c/o Institute of Psycho-Analysis) of their intention and of the length of their paper within a few days of receiving the enclosed copy of the proceedings, i.e. by Tuesday, March 2nd.
if it is likely that the amount of material would exceed the limits of one meeting, the Committee should be authorized to select certain
contributions to be given at that meeting and to give the other Members opportunity of reading their contributions at a subsequent meeting.
the meetings should close at 10.15 p.m.
Members are again reminded that all contributions to the discussion should be prepared in writing and handed to the Secretary for the purpose of circulating full minutes. Also those Members who have not yet paid their contribution to printing expenses of £1 are asked to do so as the cost of duplicating is heavy.
