Dr Payne was in the Chair and 23 Members and Associates were present (Miss Sharpe, Mrs Klein, Dr Winnicott, Mrs Isaacs, Drs Usher, Wilson, Franklin, Bowlby, A. & K. Stephen, Thorner, Heimann, Taylor, Macdonald, Gillespie, Herford, Mrs Riviere, Ries, Miss Sheehan-Dare, Mrs Milner, Miss Evans, Mr Money-Kyrle). Five Candidate guests were present (Drs Little, H. Rosenfeld, Bonnard Pratt and Mr Gomperts), one guest was present (Mrs L. Brook).
The minutes of the last meeting were read, passed and signed.
The Chairman announced that the question of time of meetings had been raised again. Major Thorner urged that meetings should begin at 7 p.m. as otherwise he would not be able to attend them and be back in time at his military quarters. Upon votes being taken it appeared that the large majority of Members present preferred 8 p.m. and that only one of the Members present was unable to manage this time. As, however, a majority of Members could also come at 7.30, it was decided to fix the time for meetings at 7.30 p.m.
The Chairman communicated the programme for the three Scientific Meetings to be held before the summer holidays.
The Chairman also announced that only written papers or contributions to the discussion at this meeting will be circulated in the minutes but not contributions to a free discussion.
