The four study groups within the Swedish Society in Stockholm are continuing their work as reported in earlier bulletins. We are delighted that our colleagues in the south of Sweden are now forming a new group. Here is their report:
Members of the Swedish and Danish Psycho-Analytic Societies working in the Malmö–Lund area in southern Sweden plan
to form a study group of the International Society for Neuro-Psychoanalysis. The activities started with a seminar on neuropsychoanalysis held by Iréne Matthis in October 1999.
At the end of August 2000, Lennart Bryngelson reported from the first Neuro-Psychoanalysis Conference in London. A group of about 10 people are now seeing Mark Solms's video-recorded lectures “A Beginner's Guide to the Brain.” We have now seen the first 10 lectures. Tommy Tallberg lectured on neuropsychoanalysis at the Danish Psychoanalytic Society and in the Society for Psychotherapists during the fall of 2000.
