The center is now part of an NGO (RUKHA), which has given us the economic means to establish our own headquarters, with classrooms, offices for clinical work, and a library. This has also enabled us to invite other professionals in the health area in order to initiate cooperation, and the work will continue in 2005.
The group and its members are involved in many different activities, including lecturing and giving introductory courses on neuropsychology and collaborating with other groups—for example, with Dr. Ricardo Nitrini at the Neurology Clinic of the University of S. Paulo on frontal-lobe patients, with Joseph Jaworski from the United States on human and organizational growth, and with NOVOLHAR (another NGO) on the prevention of violence towards children and adolescents. At the same time our work with brain-damaged patients is continuing and growing.
