During 2005 the group has concentrated on the evaluation of results stemming from psychoanalytic work with patients suffering from a stroke in the right hemisphere. Some of these patients showed neglect and/or anosognosia. A publication about this work is under way. It will cover theoretical as well as clinical aspects of the neglect/anosognosia phenomena. Part of the material was presented by two members of the group (Viviana Strauss and Klaus Roeckerath) at the 5th International Neuro-Psychoanalysis Conference in Rome in 2004.
Two other members of the group (Marianne Leuzinger-Bohleber and Franz Dick) were interviewed in a TV program, in which they took part in a discussion about the relationship between psychoanalysis and the neurosciences. The TV station, 3 Sat, is a subdivision of the 2nd German television corporation, Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF), and is well known for its features on culture and science.
