This past year has seen a strong growth in our activities. The introduction of new and varied resources (human, financial, and structural) has enabled the launching of several programs. In order to spread the neuro-psychoanalytic concept to a broader audience we have established an alliance with several other institutions—governmental and nongovernmental, counseling and supervising institutions, and projects that assist children and young adults under extreme risk of violence. We are deeply involved in the construction of a more adequate society for all.
To the initial multidisciplinary group have been added professionals specialized in NGO management, education,
and social work with street-children and adolescents, engineers, lawyers, and visual programmers. Private entrepreneurs have established an endowment fund to support all the activities. In our new headquarters, activities of NGO organizational development, family counseling, supervision, and research projects are being conducted.
We have also expanded the research studies related to brain injury and are now working with four patients, bringing into the work scientific partners for the laboratory and from neuroimaging. The research study related to the development of a video game, which has been mentioned in earlier reports, is also on its way.
Our group has received, and answered positively, many invitations to talk on neuro-psychoanalysis in meetings, congresses, and academic institutions.
