The Editors would like to record with sadness the passing of Clifford Yorke on June 20th in Oxfordshire, of Morton Reiser in New York on June 21st, and of Marjorie Pfeffer in New York on November 9th.
Clifford Yorke was a close colleague of Anna Freud. In his later career he had a growing enthusiasm about the emergence of neuropsychoanalysis, and some of his final publications are in this field. He was a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of our journal, and he contributed to its first two issues.
Morton Reiser was one of the early pioneers in bringing neuroscience to psychoanalysis. He had continued to be active in the field and co-authored an article published in the 2004:2 issue of our journal (Freud's Theory of Mind and Functional Imaging Experiments). He was also a member of our Editorial Advisory Board.
Marjorie Pfeffer maintained a long-standing association and commitment to our field. She was President of the Neuropsychoanalysis Foundation that funded the Arnold Pfeffer Center at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, and she had tirelessly supported our field in innumerable ways.
All three of these long-standing supporters of neuropsychoanalysis will be missed.
