In this issue we publish the abstracts of the research presentations at our Congress in Athens in 2012.
We now have a substantial number of scientific presenters who attend the Congresses, many on an annual basis. Moreover, roughly a quarter of all attendees are now presenters of one sort or another. This is an impressive index of the vitality of research in our field, and it bodes well for the future of neuropsychoanalysis.
As ever, we are also delighted with the diversity of the scientific offerings. We have work presented by scientists from every continent, using a range of clinical and laboratory methods. It is also heartening to see the growing fraction of early career scientists who attend our meetings—again, an excellent sign for the future of our field.
Our thanks to those who attended our Open Research Sessions and to the administrative staff who make these events possible—most notably Paula Barkay (though there have been many others, and our thanks to them all).
