In his paper, Mark Solms not only outlines the historical trajectory of our understanding of functional neurological disorder (FND), but he also lays out a comprehensive summary of the state of the art of neuropsychoanalytical theory. The question is: does his account of FND call for a revision of the “drive” concept?
