It appears to be Dr. Bringer's job to inform the intelligent reading public of the changes that have taken place in the physician's relation to his patients and to society in the last thirty years, to explain what is historical and what is rational in the relationship, and above all to let the public in on what certain physicians themselves (well represented by Dr. Binger) have been thinking of medicine and medical practice.
