Dream flying and dream weightlessness are dramatic expressions of stress variations in the human psychophysiological field. This field is a gravitational one capable of transmitting stress to the heart through the synergy of labyrinth, heart, and lungs. Examples are given of dreams which occur in people with normal and abnormal labyrinthine and coronary functioning. The symbol of the 'wing' in dreams is considered to be an image of the heart which signals cardiac stress. Anginal pain may be pain in the 'wing' distribution. Premature coronary death may be the ultimate expression of a severe psychosexual and characterologic disorder.
