At the Ninth LATIN-AMERICAN PSYCHOANALYTIC CONGRESS held in July 1972, the following officers were elected to the Executive Council of Comité Coordinador de las Organizaciones Psicoanalíticas de America Latina: President, Dr. David Zimmerman (Brazil); Vice-President, Dr. Tufik Meluk (Colombia); Secretary,
Dr. Inaura Vaz Carneiro Leão (Brazil); Treasurer, Dr. Armando Barriguete (Mexico); Training Coordinator, Dr. Guillermo Teruel (Venezuela). The Council plans to develop a scientific interchange between North and Latin America as well as between European and Latin American Psychoanalytic Societies.
