It has been called to our attention by Judith L. Kantrowitz, co-author of Methodology for a Prospective Study of Suitability for Psychoanalysis: The Role of Psychological Tests, This QUARTERLY, Volume XLIV, 1975, page 391, that the first reference was incorrectly attributed. A. Appelbaum was the discussant of the paper by Kantrowitz, Singer, and Knapp presented at the 1973 American Psychoanalytic Association meeting. Ideas for the discussion were drawn from an unpublished paper, Psychotherapy, Before and After, by S. Appelbaum.
