This is a comprehensive, annotated model set of physician's orders for psychiatric inpatients. The approach is derived from and interdigitates with psychoanalytic theory, particularly with an ego-psychological orientation. It suggests a multimodal therapeutic approach oriented toward resolution of psychic conflict and facilitating adaptation.
