In response to Howard Levine’s letter critiquing his paper, Dr. Simpson suggests that those interested in this topic read both his paper and Levine’s critique of his paper. The reader will see that there is a significant difference of opinion and interpretation of Freud’s work between the two authors. Dr. Simpson believes that this is an important difference that should be preserved.
