I use this reply, and how I experience my position within it, to reflect on how to conduct intellectual disagreements with colleagues (who in this case are friends, too) in a way informed by psycho-social principles. We agree that reflexivity is a necessary feature of being psycho-social and my sense of affront when I read their article provides an opportunity to put this principle into practice.
