Psychoanalysis and the Argentine Economic Crisis of 2001: Interview with Nancy Hollander

Professor of Psychology at Portland (OR) State University, a clinical and community psychologist, and a documentary filmmaker. Haaken has published in the areas of psychoanalysis and feminism, gender and the history of psychiatric diagnosis, group responses to violence and trauma, the psychology of storytelling, and processes of social change. She is the author of Pillar of Salt: Gender, Memory, and the Perils of Looking Back (Rutgers University Press, 1998), coauthor of Speaking Out: Women, War and the Global Economy (Ooligan Press, 2005), coeditor with Paula Reavey of Memory Matters: Understanding Recollections of Sexual Abuse (Psychology Press, forthcoming 2010), and author of Hard Knocks: Domestic Violence and the Psychology of Storytelling (Routledge Press, forthcoming 2010).
