This field note attempts to sketch out various theoretical concepts within Eric L. Santner’s wider intellectual project spanning the past two decades. As part of my own PhD interests I have been utilising his various insights and would maintain that his work offers a valuable resource for furthering forms of psychosocial research. Concentrating on three select texts and his category of flesh, I give an overview of his work, paying particular attention to the role of psychoanalysis within his larger theoretical edifice. The notion of libidinal investment in social or political space is the major thematic concern.
