Two perspectives are offered here on a project of the Society for Psychoanalytic Inquiry entitled “Experiments in Talking,” the aim of which is to glimpse the possibilities engendered by our communicative capacities by placing people in conversations where they are asked to talk and listen to one another in an intensive fashion.
