On process and traumatic repetition

Marshall Alcorn is Chair and Professor of English at the George Washington University. He is the author of Narcissism and the Literary Libido (NYU Press, 1997); Changing the Subject in English Class (Southern Illinois University Press, 2002); and Resistance to Learning (AIAA, 2013). He is also an instructor in the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis.

Sue Grand is faculty and supervisor at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. She is the author of The Reproduction of Evil: A Clinical and Cultural Perspective (Routledge, 2002) and The Hero in the Mirror: From Fear to Fortitude (Routledge, 2009). She has co-edited several books on the trans-generational transmission of trauma and on relational psychoanalysis. She is in private practice in NYC and in Teaneck, NJ.
