Until October 2008, Juliet Mitchell, was Professor of Psychoanalysis and Gender Studies (now Professor Emerita) in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge where she is Founder Director of the Cambridge University Centre for Gender Studies. She is a full member of the British and International Psychoanalytic Associations. Her books include Psychoanalysis and Feminism (1974/2000), Mad Men and Medusas: Reclaiming Hysteria and the Effects of Sibling Relations on the Human Condition (2000), and Siblings: Sex and Violence (2003).
