Abstract

Virginia Goldner’s paper reflects her exceptional role as a leader in both the family therapy and relational psychoanalytic worlds. Integrating those domains with theory and attachment and affect regulation, she presents a vivid and elegant theoretical perspective with an acutely empathic and self-reflective account of a torturous case. Commentaries by Leslie Greenberg and Paul Wachtel follow, along with a reply from Goldner.
