The editors of Psychoanalytic Dialogues mourn the loss of Sidney J. Blatt, Ph.D., who was Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at Yale University for almost 50 years. A distinguished analytic clinician, empirical researcher, personality theorist, and a beloved teacher and mentor, Dr. Blatt was one of the central voices bridging the worlds of academic psychology and psychoanalysis. He was the author or coauthor of nearly 250 published articles and approximately 17 books. We are proud that he was a member of our founding editorial board.
