We have gathered a set of snapshots from analysts around the world as they are working and living through the COVID-19 crisis. These document the creative, novel, and unexpected ways that the emerging situation is transmitted in analytic interaction, morphing and transforming, to accommodate the uncertain frame of our lives today. The authors reflect on their distinctive experiences: beyond the consulting room, behind a computer screen or on the telephone, touring the living room of a patients’ homes or swirling in the pocket of a child at play. From South Africa to San Francisco, from India to suburban Boston, we catch a glimpse of psychoanalytic life amidst the Coronavirus and psychoanalytic reflections on the world today.
These are the first in a series, to be continued in the September/October issue.
