The Holding of the Future in the Mind of the Analyst as an Essential Psychic Need of the Patient: Reply to Steven Cooper and Peter Goldberg

Clinical Psychologist and a Training Psychoanalyst in the Israel Psychoanalytic Society and in the IPA. She is past President of the Israel Psychoanalytic Society (2017-2020). She is on the teaching faculty at the Psychoanalytic Institute and at the Israel Winnicott Center. Head of the Psychoanalytical-Psychotherapy Program in Winnicott Center. She is in full-time private practice in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy in Tel-Aviv, working with children, adolescents and adults. Her papers: ‘The Point of Non-Disturbance’ (2017) and “Reflections on ‘A Woman who Found she Needed a Session of Indefinite Length’” (2023), were published in Hebrew in ‘Sihot’- Israeli Journal of Psychotherapy. She is co-editor of the translation to Hebrew of Loewald’s writings, a book in process.
