This paper focus on the phenomena of “telescopic memories.” These are vivid memories from different times that flood our psyche abruptly, bubbling up in our mind, and are experienced by us as standing in a doorway – as occurring right now or in the near future. They are one kind of “psychic zones.” That is, spaces of life which move and change over time both within our psyche and between our psyche and the other’s psyche. They have a reanimating function and a potential for constructing new meanings to our life in general and, even more so, specifically to the therapeutic relationship.*
