This paper responds to those by Woods and Gaztambide, reflecting on and wrestling with the challenge of institutional containment and the problem of repair. Inspired by the risk accepted by them to think race together, I also consider the analytic dyad’s necessary commitment to the perilous and vitalizing felt real to find meeting and possibility.
