Child psychiatrist and adult psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City, a graduate and member of the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis, and faculty at the Stephen Mitchell Center and Brown Medical School, Department of Child Psychiatry. She is cofounder of the Beirut Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy where she teaches and supervises. She is also an associate editor for Psychoanalytic Dialogues, and has published essays on psychoanalysis and sociopolitical and cultural phenomena. Her paper, The phenomenology and dynamics of wealth shame: between moral responsibility and moral masochism, was awarded the Journal of American Psychoanalytic Association’s New Author Prize in 2020.

Clinical psychologist/psychoanalyst, clinical consultant at NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and at the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at City College of New York, and adjunct medical professor at CUNY School of Medicine. She has a private practice in NYC working with adults and young adults. Her clinical orientation is anchored in exploring the therapeutic space as a catalyst for vitalization, addressing what interrupts the capacity for creative living, play, and engaging with the existential. For many years she has been involved in witnessing and accompaniment efforts in the social sphere. She is on the editorial board of the International Journal or Applied Psychoanalysis and an associate editor, Psychoanalytic Dialogues.
